Bamboo towels are one of the most innovative products in the spa and wellness market. The use of bamboo is getting more and more common, especially in places attended by VIP guests and in luxury hotels that offer the last trends and quality in their services.
Bamboo is a remarkable and highly versatile natural resource. For many centuries it has been utilised in Asia in a range of uses, including in cooking, construction, transport, textiles and medicine. It is only relatively recently that the Western world has discovered how bamboo offers a wide range of benefits and an eco-friendly solution to many of our modern requirements. Bamboo is, quite simply, a wonderful, green resource that is hugely beneficial both to the way we want to live our lives and to the environment.
Bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world! Once harvested, bamboo can replenish itself within a year and some species grow a whopping 120cm per day! It is a naturally prolific and resilient plant, which does not need fertilisers to boost its growth, or pesticides since bamboo is naturally pest-resistant. This marks it out from cotton or timber, which needs to be replanted at every harvest and requires extensive spraying and watering to achieve optimal growth.
How is Bamboo Fabric made?
Bamboo stalks are harvested from bamboo forest. The raw bamboo stalks are being crushed into flat chips. The chips are soaked in natural enzymes to break down the raw fiber and turned into bamboo pulp. It is then dried into parchment-like sheets.
Once thoroughly dried, these sheets are ready to be milled into a soft, fluffy material referred to as bamboo fiber. The fiber is combed out and spun into bamboo yarn then it can be knitted into bamboo fabrics.

How should I care for a Bamboo Towel?
You should wash your bamboo towels before first use. We recommend careful handling when washing your new Bamboo towels. To prevent snagging of the loops and towel shrinkage carefully follow these simple steps:
• Place your towels in a washing bag prior to its first laundering.
• Launder towels with lukewarm water on delicate wash with like colors (do not add bleach) and thoroughly rinse.
• Tumble dry no or low heat setting.
• We do not recommend the use of fabric softeners as they tend to block the micro-gaps in the fibers leading to reduced absorbency.
